EAC Twin Turbo Kit - !!!Street Legal!!!
In this video I get a first look at the EAC Twing Turbo Kit developed by Eugene Turkov of Enthusiast Auto Care and Husam Hammadi of BTWTuning.
This twin turbo kit integrates GT-R turbos with the VQ37 engine to provide a street legal, carb & emissions compliant boost option for the 370Z / G37 / Q50 and other Nissan & Infiniti platforms that use the VQ37 powertrain.
For years the 370Z and G37 have only had the Stillen Super Charger kit as the only carb legal boost option for the platform. Can this new twin turbo kit outperform it?

    The infrared thermometer will read different values depending on the material you're measuring the temperature of, so this a potential source of error. A better test would be to sandwich a thermocouple between layers of tape.

    I fixed my wife's car today thanks to this. Harbor Freight snap ring pliers did not do the job, but the ones from Lowe's did. Impact also a must for that 10mm bolt. I just couldn't pin the pulley down to do it any other way. Thanks a lot for this video!

    Do you have a recommendation on drill size for drilling out the black plastic jet when installing a 255lph pump? Couldn't find the referenced support page.

  • @allenashkar3748
    @allenashkar3748 25 дней назад

    I have always thought that drilled rotors provide better braking and hence a shorter braking distance. Nice to know now that they offer no braking benefit other than look. I also liked when he stated that slots on a rotor keep brake pads clean by offering scraping edges to remove dust and fades off the pads. I will consider slotted rotors for my vehicle from now on, thanks to this video.

    Is there any trick to reinstalling the transmission back into place? I tried wrestling mine for hours yesterday and got absolutely nothing realigned properly. I opened the hole in the clutch fork area but the shaft never wanted to slide all the way in.

    • @thecarizon504
      @thecarizon504 26 дней назад

      It is a pain in the ass, there really isn't much of a trick per say. Try to visually get it lined up as best you can, and then I grabbed it from the rear (using the support bars for the shift linkage) and started shaking it around to get it to slide in place. The transmission has to be lined up close to perfecy, the shift linkage support frame should be nearly touching the top of the transmission tunnel. Try rotating the spline a bit too in case it's not in sync with the engine in terms of the teeth meshing. Other than that, just check that there's nothing obstructing your way.

  • @jacksmith2315

    No offense, but this isnt a good video. info wise or testing. Firstly, you get less mpg at lower speeds because of the gear ratio, torque and weight of the vehicle. It takes more work to get the weight rolling in lower speeds and lower gear, well any gear really, at lower speeds. You get better milage going faster because of momentum, and gear ratio. The engineand transmission are working harder at lower speeds to get and keep the weight moving, thats why there are different gears with different gear ratios. Secondly, it should have been done on the highway, at speeds 55-80 for longer distances, to be more accurate, and more real world. On the highway you're driving more miles at a consistent speed where its more important to get better milage, and thats where more people want to know where they will get the best milage, because its where they are doing longer distance trips, usually.

    Nice presentation. I upgrade my brakes not for better braking as much as for improved feel (brake modulation). Even in a daily driver, how your brakes feel is significant to a discriminating driver. I learned about braking modulation on pure race cars I've driven (i.e. front/rear bias and tires that have sudden but high break away vs tires with lower but predictable breakaway). Iv'e added braided stainless steel brake lines to a variety of vehicles and if I had to choose between only upgrading rotors, pads or adding braided stainless brake lines, I'll take the braided brake lines every time. Because you can better feel what your brakes and tires are doing you end up with better controllability. And, IMHO, being able to better control what my car does is more important than a theoretical ability of a particular component.

    My intake in my Altima is right over the upper radiator hose. I wrapped the intake and using the torque app i noticed a drop in intake air temp by 10° alone. While in traffic it gets as high as 140° but cools down a lot faster than with no wrap. It would get to between 15-20° above what the air temp reads at the dash in normal driving. Highway driving at 65-70 it gets just over 10° of the air temp. Then i thought what if i also insulated the upper rad hose. So i used the bubble wrap the tape came in and lowered the temps 10° lower in normal traffic and to within 5° at highway speeds. I ended up insulating the rest of the intake with a silver bubble style windshield sunshade. Next i plan to do the air box itself in 1/4” foam deadener then gold foil wrapping it.

    Whatever you say. I will hold my ground on drilled or slotted break rotors. The best brands in my opinion is ATE, zimmerman and brembo. These once also have a coating of paint/metarial so it wont rust. Also one note: plan faced rotors WILL fade on track days after a few cornors or a long big downhill breaking on a hot summer day.

    Is this the same in wet weather performance? Because as you mentioned with slotted for example you are taking off a microscopic layer each time, surely that would do the same with any water to help contact with the pad and the rotor? Would that be accurate? Also how much higher (percentage) would the wear be? Would it be dependent on how sharp the edge is of the slot? Sharp vs smooth etc? Lastly what about straight slotted rotors vs angled / curved?
